Aging And Intellectual Disability: Addressing Current And Future ChallengesIn recent decades, adults with intellectual disabilities are routinely living into old age. For adults with I/DD, this increased longevity is also commonly accompanied by a variety of medical, physical, functional cognitive, behavioral, and/or emotional changes that are experienced as a result of growing older. This presentation will provide an overview of concepts of aging and a general framework to the assessment of change from the perspective of a geriatrician specializing in older adults with I/DD.
