CBI For Families: Understanding The Benefits Of Community-Based Instruction

This informational webinar is designed to help families understand the purpose and process of Community-Based Instruction (CBI) as part of a student’s special education program. CBI is a structured, instructional approach that uses real community settings to teach functional, academic, social, and independent living skills students need for adult life. During this session, families will learn how CBI supports student learning, how it connects to the IEP, and practical ways to reinforce these skills at home while partnering with educators.
  
Note: Note:This training provides a total of 1.5 hours of professional development.
 
This training is intended for family members and/or caregivers of individuals with disabilities living in New Jersey.
 
Certificates: Certificates of Attendance with training title and duration will be provided.
 
Continuing Education Credit: NJDOE Professional Development Hours.
