Foundations Of CBI Day 1: Understanding The Fundamentals Of CBIPrior to planning and implementing CBI programming, it must be understood that CBI is an evidence-based instructional strategy that promotes positive post-school outcomes when implemented with fidelity. CBI utilizes the local community and surrounding areas for students to learn real world skills in natural environments that may be used currently or in the future as students transition to adulthood. As a result of this training, participants will gain a deeper knowledge of the principles of CBI and how these principles translate toward promoting equity, agency, and community inclusion for individuals with disabilities.
Note: This series is ONLY open to individual school staff who are new to CBI practices and are employed in a district that has been previously trained and has an established CBI implementation team.
The series consists of four parts, and you must register for and attend each session in order.
This training provides a total of 4 hours of professional development.
Certificates: Certificates of Attendance with training title and duration will be provided.
Continuing Education Credit: NJDOE Professional Development Hours.
