Basic Overview Of Self-Directed Services And Supports BrokerageIn New Jersey, people can self-direct some or all of their Home and Community Based Services, made available through the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) Supports Program or Community Care Program. Self-directed services are provided by a self-directed employee or a service provided by a non-disability specific business and are paid through use of a fiscal intermediary. People that self-direct their services can hire a supports broker to help find, sustain, and plan for their self-directed services. This workshop will provide a basic overview of self-directed services and the role of supports brokers.
